Communication Officer (Digital) assists in planning, designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating digital communication initiatives to support the advocacy and communication strategy, including in management of social and digital media platforms. The purpose is to get children’s and women’s issues into the public domain, strengthen political will in support of UNICEF's mission and objectives in the country, and enhance the organization’s credibility and brand.
The efficiency and efficacy of support provided by the Communication Officer (Digital) to programme preparation, planning and implementation, contributes to the achievement of sustainable results and supports the advocacy and communication strategy, including through the management of social and digital media platforms in compliance with UNICEF standards and through Social Listening. This in turn contributes to maintaining/enhancing the credibility of UNICEF as an effective and responsible manager of funds entrusted to the organization and to furthering UNICEF image as a competent organization for delivering cost effective and sustainable program results for children.
